The Faith in Action report is of great value to all of Aotearoa New Zealand, as it demonstrates the fundamental contribution of faith-based entities to the richness and wellbeing of our country.
The Christian faith-based sector continues to grow in both size and impact, with registered Christian charities contributing an estimated $7.3b to the NZ economy each year (2% of total GDP).
There are 24,494 registered entities who have uploaded an annual return for 2023. Of those, 6089 are faith-based charities.
